Safeguarding

Our Safeguarding Team:

At Brooklands, every child has the right to feel safe, valued, listened to and supported. The safety, wellbeing and happiness of our pupils are at the heart of everything we do.

We work hard to create a caring environment where children know they can talk to trusted adults, share their worries and ask for help whenever they need it. We believe that safeguarding is most effective when children's voices are heard, their experiences are understood and their needs are at the centre of every decision we make.

Through our curriculum, assemblies and everyday school life, we help children learn how to stay safe, make positive choices, recognise risks and know where to go for support. We want every child to feel confident, respected and empowered to speak up if something does not feel right.

Keeping children safe is everyone's responsibility. Our staff receive regular safeguarding training and work closely with families and a range of professionals to ensure children receive the right support at the right time, particularly those who may be vulnerable.

If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child, please contact one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads listed above.
