We are committed to providing excellent opportunities for our students to learn and thrive outside of the classroom. Our extra-curricular programme provides a stimulating variety of clubs for students of all abilities and interests and we encourage our students to take full advantage of these.  

The Aviary

The Aviary is the name for Brooklands breakfast and afterschool club. This club provides full wrap around care for our working families. The club opens at 7.15am and closes at 6pm. 

The Aviary is located in the Junior Building and is next to the Osprey classroom.

If you would like to book a place, please use Parent Pay before midnight on a Thursday to book for the following week. If you would like to find out more, or need help with booking, please contact the school on 0115 9732846.

Breakfast/Afterschool Policy

First Grade Sports

Brooklands is committed to ensuring the children receive high quality PE and sports opportunities in school. Brooklands work in partnership with First Grade Sports, a team of qualified PE Teachers and PE School Sport Professionals.

All children (including Nursery) receive a 1 hour PE session each week delivered by the First Grade Coaches. In addition, the coaches deliver afterschool sports clubs on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from 3:15 - 4:30pm. These clubs are available to book at £2.50 per session through parent pay. 

Clay Creators

This term Brooklands are delighted to be able to offer an afterschool club with Clay Creators. Session are taking place on a Monday night in the Infant Hall.

Creator Clay

Our ‘Creator Clay’ is uniquely made for us and comes with the CE safety mark. It’s not like any other clay you’ve seen before – It air dries!

After making a model the clay is already drying and after 24-48 hours it dries to a firm, but spongy feel. No baking, curing or sealing, all the fun and no mess!

Our Classes

All our teachers are crb/dbs checked for your piece of mind. We’ve also been approved by all the schools in which we run classes.

Our classes run according to your school’s guidelines in a safe, friendly and fun manner. Kids love it as they get to keep every creation they make!
